social responsibility

In 1982 seven people died from cyanide-laced capsule that were found in tylenol bottles. Johnson and Johnsons first action to this news was making a seven man team to first to protect the people and to second to save the product. They sent out a notice to all consumers to not consume any Tylenol products what so ever. Then they stoped all production and advertisments of Tylenol. After that they sent out a recall for every Tylenol capsule. I feel that Johnson and Johnson acted perfectly to this situation. they put the consumer first even thought it cost them millions of dollars. This crisis resulted in Tylenol's a glued box, a plastic sear over the neck of the bottle, and a foil seal ofer the mouth of the bottle. Tylenol had the pefect reaction and responce to this crisis and it could not have been excuted better
